History of Crosswoods

Picture
Crosswoods Subdivision is located off Harrodsburg Road approximately two miles southwest of Man O' War Boulevard. Approximately 350 acres were developed by Kindred Homes from the former Charles W. Headley property beginning in 1976. Shortly after, Crosswoods Neighborhood Association was formed, now representing over 260 homes. Our neighborhood association is lead by volunteers who are diligent and active homeowners dedicating their time to improving the quality of living and increasing the values of our homes.

A volunteer fire department was organized to protect the homes in the northern area of Jessamine County by a Crosswoods member in 1993. They joined forces with the Jessamine County Fire Department a few years later. For current county information in this matter, go to www.ournorthjessamine.info.

Many original homeowners still reside in Crosswoods neighborhood. As homes are resold, Crosswoods Subdivision is being rejuvenated with families with young children.

Crosswoods Subdivision is a great neighborhood for all ages!
